American architectural critic and curator John Margolies photographed commercial structures along main streets, byways, and highways throughout the United States over a forty-year span beginning in 1969. Over 11,000 of his photographs are in collections of the Library of Congress. This image reworks his photograph Pagoda Gas Station, Harley Sprague, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
